Paris Je'taime - Part 1

I took the Eurostar train to Paris on 15th Dec 2009. During packing, I was debating whether to bring my long ZARA jacket (an old one from last year) or a new short jacket that looks cooler. In the end, I decided to go for ZARA since its a warmer jacket.... Boy, was I glad I did the right thing, because the moment I stepped out of the train in Paris Du Nord onto the platform, I started to shiver.... It was freakin cold in Paris!!!

My ex-roomie, Durgha, met me at the train station. We took the metro to Angelica's studio apartment, where I would stay for the rest of my time in Paris. Oh, its really common that ppl play music or beg for $$ in the metro.... I was quite shocked the first time someone asked me for $$ in the metro! But I just got used to it for the next few days...

After dropping off my suitcase in Angelica's studio apartment, we started our sightseeing spree with the Palace of Versailles!

Durgha and I outside the palace.

The gold trimmings on the blue roof shines when sunlight hits it. But its not visible in this photo.

One of the hallways.

The doors are TALL.

And the ceilings are AWESOME!

The view from one of the windows.

Chandeliers are everywhere.

See? Told you its everywhere.

The lake and gardens. Should be great to come during summer, the flowers and trees are dead in the winter.

Outside.

By the time we finished Versailles, the sky was already getting dark. We dropped by Durgha's place to pick up some stuff and since her hall is near Eiffel Tower, we did a little detour there.

I am sure you have seen photos like this a thousand times.

There were so many peddlers selling Eiffel Tower souveniers. Remember those mini Eiffel Tower key chains where almost everyone seem to have on their school bags?? Even I had one on my primary swan bag.... Its super annoying because one after another, they will come asking you to buy their stuff... Come on, I just want to enjoy the sight of the tower peacefully!!!

We then had a cookout at Angelica's place.

Our chef of the day.

Angelica and I

All 3 of us!

Went to watch 'New Moon' after that. Well, its not my usual type of movie, but at least that Jacob guy is really HOT... The other 2 girls are on the Edward team though. I, on the other hand, find him the most unattractive actor of all time.

Thats it for part one. I hope everyone had a good Christmas! Please feel free to comment to share how you spent your Christmas... I would very much love to hear~ Lots of love.

Currently a student in London. Loves travelling, day-dreaming, pigging out on good food and dancing. I think one of the greatest blessings of life is to wake up in the morning without an alarm clock. Having a great time means a deep and meaningful conversation with friends. Absolutely hopeless in networking, words doesn't come out if I am pressured to talk. But if I feel like talking, you would wish you never had ears ;P
