Paris Je'taime - Part 2

Me, in the metro on Wednesday morning to the city centre of Paris.

The weather was beautiful. This was taken from the metro....

The great thing about metro in Paris is that it goes overground, so I get to do some speed sightseeing without walking! haha, lazy... Another good thing is that phones do work on the metro.. Unlike in London. Going on the tube (equivalent of metro in Paris) means being cut off from the world.

We went to see the second significant landmark of Paris - Arc de Triomphe. (The first would of course be Eiffel Tower...)

Didn't take the lifts up to the top though... the bloody lady at the counter wanted to charge me 5.50euros!!! (FYI: In Paris, if we can prove that we are under age 25 and is a student in Europe, entry fees to tourist attractions are waivered). But she insisted the nationality mattered as well! Obviously, that was just a pile of bull cuz I managed to get into other places for free!!!
Woman, please get your facts straight before you talk okkk

Champ Elysees(biggest shopping street in Paris) is practically connected to Arc de Triomphe, and on the other end of the street is the Louvre, so we took a nice walk down the street.

Lots of snacks along the way!

Some detours

Finally arrived at the Louvre! This is where the artwork of Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vince is displayed.

Inside the Louvre.

Mona Lisa! Lots of ppl crowding around one small painting.

Went to the Pompideu centre after that. Its a contemporary art gallery, but the main attraction for me is the view of the city from the top floor.

See the red elevator across the building? it takes you straight to the top.
Unfortunately, there was a strike going on that day, so the centre was closed. Really disappointing!

End of part 2

About Me

Currently a student in London. Loves travelling, day-dreaming, pigging out on good food and dancing. I think one of the greatest blessings of life is to wake up in the morning without an alarm clock. Having a great time means a deep and meaningful conversation with friends. Absolutely hopeless in networking, words doesn't come out if I am pressured to talk. But if I feel like talking, you would wish you never had ears ;P
