Cologne. Part 1!

I HATE hassles. Especially when changing service providers in UK... Why do they need to lock your mobile phone and number!? Isn't it our rights to change to whichever service providers that we wish without that extra hassle of unlocking everything???

Sorry for the random rant. Lets continue with the main content---> germany!

Durgha and I stayed in Severin's house for the whole duration of our trip. Our train got delayed due to 'extreme weather conditions' (quoted from the announcements made at the train station), so we arrived in Cologne 3 hours after our expected arrival time.... around 9pm I recall.

And we were STARVING... Sev's mum prepared a wonderful dinner and we took a walk down the river after filling ourselves to the brim... YUMS. Sorry, no photos were taken as we were too busy with the food...

But here's one with sev and parents.

Next morning, we walked to the famous dome of Cologne. Climbed up some everlasting spiral stairs till the top of the clock tower to get a bird-eye's view of the city... I swear, half way up, I was starting to think the staircase was never coming to an end. And as you might know, being a physically inclined person as I am, it took massive effort for me to reach the top. XD

But the view was worth it!

As you can see, the top was all caged because some maniac jumped down the tower to kill himself, but he landed on a pregnant lady... so basically 3 lifes was lost that day. The bars all around made me feel safe in a way, because I have a "teeny" fear for heights.

We then went the awesome Christmas market right outside the dome.

So much food and cookies!! My favorite.

I'll end with another random comment... I love blog wars!

About Me

Currently a student in London. Loves travelling, day-dreaming, pigging out on good food and dancing. I think one of the greatest blessings of life is to wake up in the morning without an alarm clock. Having a great time means a deep and meaningful conversation with friends. Absolutely hopeless in networking, words doesn't come out if I am pressured to talk. But if I feel like talking, you would wish you never had ears ;P
